What do we offer?
Quality, evidence based speech therapy for children and young people by professional, experienced and compassionate HCPC, RSCLT, ASLTIP registered specialist speech therapists.
Who do we work with?
Therapists are experienced in working with children from 0-19 to support and develop their Speech, Language and Communication.
We see children with a wide range of communication needs including speech sound delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Language Disorder.

We are based in Horley, Surrey and offer therapy at your home, child's preschool or school within 5 miles - Please see area map

I'm Becky Byrne, a passionate and highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist with 8+ years’ experience supporting children, teenagers and adults to communicate with confidence.
I’m the founder of Unlock You Independent Speech Therapy, based in Surrey and working both in person and online.

I have particular expertise in stammering therapy across the lifespan, and I take a neurodiversity-affirming, person-centred approach. I support clients to reduce struggle and increase confidence—drawing on a blend of speech therapy, mindset coaching, and psychological approaches such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I’m proud to be on the committee of the National Stammering Clinical Excellence Network, where I help organise training and events for specialist stammering SLTs across the UK. Alongside my stammering work, I have extensive experience with a wide range of communication needs, including speech/language delays/disorders, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism, and more. I work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to provide holistic, individualised support that helps each client unlock their potential.

Where are
we based?
Travel included if: 5 miles or under 15 minutes drive from the therapists base in Horley, Surrey.
Travel costs apply outside of this area. Travel costs include Mileage costs and Travel Time costs.
Mileage cost: Mileage is calculated using Google Maps and is charged at the standard rate of 50p per mile.
Travel Time: The time taken, in minutes, for the Therapist to travel from her base to the place where assessment/ therapy is delivered.
This is charged pro rata at half standard hourly rate (standard hourly rate currently £100)
